My New Friend, Vera

It has been two weeks since my last post. I almost feel like I have forgotten how to blog. Hopefully, it will be like riding a bike...

I recently purchased a Vera Bradley bag. I had no idea that they were so light and durable. I have been lugging around leather for so long...sometimes I can barely even tell I'm wearing a bag. (It is funny...I had just read about how the weight of our handbag should be less than 10 pounds! in Real Simple Magazine.)

Well, last week while browsing my local Hallmark store (you know Cindy's, the one by QFC), I happened upon their final day of 75% off their Vera Bradley clearance. I saw this "Cards and Cuties Black/Espresso" (pictured above in front of my new purse)... and I thought what a great idea for a little giveaway.

So, to thank you kind friends (and family!) who visit my blog or even if this is your first visit ever, I'd like to offer this little giveaway. Please leave a comment on this post before Wednesday, October 10th. I'll have Christopher pick a name at random and announce the "winner" the next day.

Thanks for all of your encouraging comments and e-mails. They are much appreciated! Anthony has said my primary love language is "words of affirmation." (hee, hee!)

Hi Sherri!
I think that your primary love language -- words of affirmation -- must surely be one of your spiritual gifts, too! Isn't that how it is at times? What we desire the most for our souls, is sometimes the thing that comes pouring out of us (if we allow the Holy Spirit to do His thing!). Anyway, it's something I've definitely had the blessing of benefitting from you! Your gracious words have been an encouragement to me. What's the verse in Proverbs... s/he who refreshes others will her/himself be refreshed -- amen! I hope you find this to be true for yourself.

Regarding purses... I sooo understand! I tend toward larger ones, and then everythang ends up in it! I take a smaller one, then at some point end up carrying this and that along with my purse. But! What a great girl problem to have! :-)

Anyway, how great to have a giveaway! Yay!

Glad that you are back to posting. Very nice purse, guess we should all think about using a lighter purse. Your blog is always inspiring.
