“Father, make of me a crisis man. Bring those I contact to decision. Let me not be a milepost on a single road;
make me a fork
, that men must turn one way or another on facing Christ in me.” - Jim Elliot

Cryin' in a Winter Wonderland
- lyrics by sister sheri

(to be sung to the tune of Winter Wonderland)

Southwest called, are you listenin
"On the plane, snow is glistenin
Our de-icer's not right, we’re cancelin' your flight"
Cryin' in a winter wonderland

Gone away is the preferred
But we'll not be deterred
We'll check Travelocity, as we garner pity,
Cryin’ in a winter wonderland

In the meantime we can build a snowman
And pretend that we don't have a frown
Friends say, "Are you buried?"
We’ll say, "Sure are"
But we can put on chains and drive around

Later on we’ll perspire
As we join with every flyer
To face unafraid the new plans we made
Flyin’ from a winter wonderland

to be continued...

I love the lyrics. What a great attitude. It is unbelievable that amount of snow. I like the pictures though.

Oh dear! I am sorry you are having trouble getting out of the airport! I so hope that a flight is ready for you before Wednesday. I've been so wrapped up in my snow-bound self, I didn't even think about people with travel plans! We are thinking that we won't have our family Christmas Eve gift exchange and buffet, as most of us can't get out of our driveways--snow is too deep. I don't want my kids driving up from Salem if the roads haven't cleared considerable by Wed. noon.

This has been a seige, hasn't it??! I only remember a time like this over 35 years ago when a snowtime lasted for at least two weeks.

I trust you can get out yet this week. Keep singing your cute songs....and keep your sense of humor! No matter in whose home you celebrate, have a wonderful Christmas!

What a blessing to have Southwest call you to tell you the flight was cancelled before you got there. God is good no matter what the weather! Looking forward to your next musical post!
