6,000 Insecure Women

Today I am hanging out with 6,000 other Siestas (aka Sisters) on the Living Proof Ministries Blog.  Beth Moore's book So Long, Insecurity has been released and she is hosting a discussion group over the next nine weeks.

I am kind of surprised that there are 5,999 other women dealing with insecurity.  I thought I was the only one.  And I know... I know... you think I don't deal with insecurity... but I have proof that I do... Just read my blog!  And yes, since I turned 40 I have been having my hair highlighted... and I am not giving it up... just yet.

If you know someone who deals with insecurity... why not invite them to get the book and follow along on the LPM blog?  I'd love to know if you are reading along with me, too.

P.S. I decided on the "altar" for my teaching on Abraham.
I had used a pretty Vera Bradley binder to hold my teaching notes.
I'm thinking about using it each time I teach in the future and
listing the dates on the inside cover.
What do you think?

I like it! - the alter idea. :) And I am surprised that only 6000 of the daily 10,000 that visit Beth's Blog everyday are doing. I would have suspected 9,999 would be doing it!! hehe
I have told any one who will listen to get the book!
I feel like highlighting almost every word and I would quote almost the entire book if I could for my facebook status!

I couldn't wait for the So Long Insecurity study to begin - I guess that's the lie we are all believing, that we are the only ones with issues. Way to go, Beth, for attacking something to help us on the road to becoming who God wants us to be.

Love your Vera Bradley notebook. I live in Vera Bradley corporate headquarters city so we are surrounded by Vera. Gotta love it.

And, don't forget the pink boa!

i really doubt i'll be posting on the LPM blog though. just too too many posts and i don't feel secure enough to add to the pile. haha. it would be nice to have another blog of like-minded insecure women to post our comments. ;-) LOL.

As of a few minutes ago, the count was up to 60001...you talked another person into joining. I love her idea about wiritng what season of your life you are in when you start the book. I wonder if when we finish it, we'll be writing on the back cover.

I'm reading (and blogging) while in the waiting room...I figured I could get a connection here.

I stopped dying my hair about 5 years ago...I figure my white hair is like the girl off X-mem...when she uses her power her hair turns white...I've used alot of my power!

I'm among one of the Siesta's taking part in the discussion! I'm one of her "home-girls" and attend her live bible study so I picked the book up two weeks ago!! I'm already 2 chapters into it and had to stop so I can read along with the blog discussion. Can't wait!

p.s. loved the cartoon too!!!

I love the Vera Bradley binder altar! Which pattern is it? Isn't that such a girl thing to say?

I have signed up for the Beth Moore study b/c I know I definitely need to be released from this stronghold. The only one that can do this is God with a little help from me!

I'll be part of the discussion group! But I'm still waiting for my pre-order book to arrive! ...will need to go purchase another one if it doesn't arrive in the next couple days. I certainly want to get going on this group, for sure!

What / who is Vera Bradley? I must be out of it, I've never heard of her... just curious who she is and why y'all are getting excited about her notebook.
